Overview

Math Puzzle is a math-based puzzle game. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your choices regarding that information.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information (PII)
• Location data
• Contacts, photos, camera, or microphone data
• Any data to our own servers — we operate no backend

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The app uses your device's local storage (SharedPreferences) to save game progress and settings. This data never leaves your device:

• Game progress (current question, correct/incorrect answers, hints used)
• Sound mute preference
• Animation preference
• Selected language
• Whether you have purchased the "Remove Ads" upgrade
• Your notification preference (whether daily reminders are enabled)

You can clear this data at any time by uninstalling the app.

App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS devices, the app requests permission to track your activity using Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. Specifically, the app may request access to your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA).

This identifier is used by our third-party advertising partner, Google AdMob, to:

• Display personalized or targeted advertisements based on your activity across other apps and websites
• Measure the effectiveness of ads shown in the app

If you deny tracking permission, AdMob will still show ads but they will not be personalized. Your choice can be changed at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

If you purchase "Remove Ads," no tracking occurs and no IDFA is accessed.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Math Puzzle displays ads provided by Google AdMob. Ads are shown to users who have not purchased the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase. AdMob may collect and use data in accordance with Google's privacy policies, including:

• Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
• Approximate device information (OS version, device model)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
• App usage and interaction data for ad targeting and measurement

This data may be linked across apps and websites owned by other companies for the purpose of targeted advertising (tracking). For more information, please review Google's Privacy Policy and Google AdMob's data practices.

If you purchase "Remove Ads," no ads are shown and no AdMob data is collected.

In-App Purchases

The app offers a one-time "Remove Ads" purchase processed through the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS). We do not receive or store any payment or financial information. Purchase processing is handled entirely by Google or Apple under their respective privacy policies.

Local Notifications

Math Puzzle can display local notifications on your device to remind you to play and occasionally share quotes from famous mathematicians. These notifications are generated and scheduled entirely on your device.

• No data is sent to any server. The app does not use push notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Apple Push Notification Service, or any other remote messaging system.
• No personal information is collected in connection with this feature. Notification content is selected from a fixed list of pre-translated messages bundled with the app.
• You are in full control. Notifications are disabled by default. You can enable or disable them at any time from the in-app Settings screen, or from your device's system notification settings.
• On Android 13 and above, and on iOS, the app requests notification permission only when you enable daily reminders from the Settings screen.

Permissions Used

The app requests only the following device permissions:

• Internet access — required to load ads and process in-app purchases.
• App Tracking Transparency (iOS only) — requested to enable personalized ads via Google AdMob. Denying this permission does not affect app functionality.
• Notifications (optional) — requested only when you enable daily reminders in the app's Settings screen. Used solely to display on-device reminders and math quotes. Denying this permission does not affect any other app functionality.

No other permissions (camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage) are requested or used.

Children's Privacy

Math Puzzle is designed to be suitable for all ages, including children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not contain chat features, social connections, or any mechanism to submit personal data.

Ad content displayed via Google AdMob is subject to Google's family and child-directed treatment policies.

Data Retention

All locally stored data (game progress, preferences) persists until you uninstall the app. We have no ability to access or delete this data remotely, as it is stored solely on your device.

Security

Because no personal data is transmitted to or stored on external servers, the privacy risk from a data breach on our end is zero. Your game data is as secure as your device itself.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
